The following definitions apply for the Terms and Conditions for Crusin motorhomes Australia.
* The Supplier means the operator of Crusin motorhomes Australia .
* The Client is also referred to as the hirer (s) or renter (s).
Summary of Rental Conditions
This document contains a brief summary of Crusin motorhomes Australia's rental conditions and should not be regarded as the entire rental contract.
Rates are quoted in Australian dollars.
Terms and conditions, specifically rental duration, are subject to change.
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable and is collected upon booking confirmation. The balance is payable 32 days prior to vehicle collection. Please ensure there are sufficient funds available at this time. A bond amount is payable upon arrival and is fully refundable upon the return of your vehicle in the appropriate condition, as stipulated in your rental agreement.
No cash will be accepted at any branches under any circumstances. The supplier will only accept credit card or debit card for rental charges paid on vehicle pick up or drop off. The Security Bond on the vehicle is only payable at pick up by credit card. Direct debit for the rental balance can be arranged on request but this does not apply to security bonds.
SPECIAL PAYMENT TERMS:
Full balance of payment (including the deposit) will be collected at the time of confirmation if you have elected to process your booking in a currency different to AUD.
Bankcard, MasterCard, Visa are accepted. Cheques will not be accepted as payment for rentals at the time of pick up. These must be paid to Crusin motorhomes and motorhomes Rentals fourteen days prior to commencement of rentals. We will deduct this amount from your credit card in line with this policy. Personal or company cheques aren't acceptable as bond.
The initial deposit paid is non-refundable. In addition, the following charges also apply:
If cancelled up to 30-10 days prior to pick-up – 25% of daily rental
If cancelled up to 9-4 days prior to pick-up – 50% of daily rental
If cancelled less than 4 days prior to pick-up or no show -100% of daily rental
We strongly recommend that clients ensure they take out the highest level of Travel Insurance. In many cases this will cover any losses incurred if you are forced to cancel your booking. Rental Charges
Rentals are charged per calendar day. The day of pick up is the first day of rental and the day of return is the last day of the rental. Vehicles must be returned within branch hours to the branch nominated upon booking.

Public Holiday Surcharge
All rentals picking up or dropping off on the following days will incur an additional $100 public holiday surcharge.
Surcharge only applies to branches open on the following public holidays;
Anzac Day (25th April each year)
Boxing Day (26 December each year)
New Year’s Day (1st January each year)
Australia Day (26th January each year)
You will continue to be responsible for the rental of the vehicle until the Vehicle is returned to the Return Location. Failure to obtain an authorisation for a rental extension will result in a late fee of AU$150 per day in addition to the daily rental rate plus the daily rate charge applicable to your Liability Reduction Option for each day until the vehicle is returned. The daily rental rate charged will be the rate applicable on the day of extension which may differ from the original rate booked. These charges will be applied to the Customer’s credit card on a daily basis until the Vehicle is returned.
Consecutive the supplier's rentals can be combined to qualify for a Long Term Discount rate. If a drop off of a vehicle and a pick-up of a new vehicle occur on the same day then a day each will be charged per respective vehicle. Multiple rentals are treated as separate rentals under the one-way fee and minimum rental period conditions.
If the Customer wishes to extend the rental whilst on hire, they must first obtain authorisation from Cruisin by calling 1300 664 485 or +61 3 6248 4789. The extra days will be calculated by using either the original rental rate or the current rate that is valid at the time of the booking change, depending on whichever rate is higher plus the daily rate charge applicable to your chosen Liability Reduction Option. Rental extension is subject to fleet availability.
The extra cost of an extended rental must be paid by the Customer by credit card on confirmation of the rental
extension. Failure to obtain authorisation will result in the renter being charged at the Late Return rate outlined above.
Should you desire to make changes to your booking; the booking will be calculated by using either the original rate for the vehicle or the current rate that is available at the time of the booking change depending on whichever rate is higher. There are no exceptions to this rule. The supplier considers the following as booking alterations;
- Change of depot location for vehicle pick up or drop off.
- Change of vehicle category.
- Change of date for vehicle pick up or drop off.
If an amendment is made to the rental dates within 14 days of collection, no refund will be made if the length
of hire is shortened (that is; the rental will be charged at the number of days originally booked). A relocation fee
may apply if the collection or return location is amended within 14 days of vehicle pick up or if notification occurs
during the hire. Booking Amendments are subject to fleet availability. If your booking travel dates are amended
within the cancellation fee period to be outside of the cancellation fee period and is subsequently cancelled, the
cancellation fee for the original booking will apply.
Vehicles must be returned to the supplier's depots and not airports. It is the renter’s responsibility to get to and from the branch. No refund will be offered to compensate transportation costs.
Rates include unlimited kilometres.
Rates include 10% GST.
The supplier only accepts Visa Card, Master Card and AMEX. An additional 2% surcharge will be incurred on any transaction including the security deposit. American Express will incur an additional 4.5% surcharge on any transaction including the security deposit.
Currency Variations and Exchange Rates
All transactions are conducted in Australian dollars. Due to exchange rate fluctuations there could be some variance in the amount refunded compared to the amount initially charged. The supplier does not accept liability for variances up or down. Refunds by credit card can take up to 14 days depending on the Renter’s Financial Institution.

A one-way rentals are available between all branches subject to the minimum rental periods in the table below. A one-way fee of $260 applies. The one-way fee is waived for each rental over 21+ days.
All renters are required to have a full and current motor vehicle driver’s license that must be produced by the driver on collection. Should a foreign licence be in a language other than English it must be accompanied by a current international driving permit issued in the same country as the driver’s licence was issued. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit.
Drivers must be 21 years of age or over and 79 or under.
Extra driver fee
There are no fees for additional drivers up to three drivers.
All campervans and motorhomes can only be driven on sealed/bitumen roads. The only exceptions to this are well-maintained access roads of less than twelve (12) kilometres to recognised campgrounds. We reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the rental period.
Maps and Camp Guides
Each vehicle is supplied with a complimentary Road Atlas. A campground guide can be offered at selected branches.
When booking campsites and ferry crossings, the supplier recommends making a reservation for a 7.3-metre vehicle due to the possibility of an upgrade.
Kitchen and Personal Kits
Each vehicle is supplied with living equipment (such as cooking equipment, utensils, bath and tea towels and bedding). All equipment must be returned in working order.
A pre-hire gas refill charge of $25 applies for all 2 and 3 berth vehicles and $35 for all 4 and 6 berth vehicles. The renter is not required to re-fill prior to return. This does not apply to customers who have purchased the Maximum Cover Package.
Baby seats suitable for children 6 months to 4 years of age can be fitted to the vehicle range, Cost is $35 per rental. Toddler seats cannot be fitted in the 2/3 Berth Hi-top Campervan, 2 Berth Adventurer or the 2 berth Sandpiper Motorhomes. Children under 6 months of age cannot be accommodated in any of the vehicles.
A booster seat suitable for a child between 4 and 7 years of age can be supplied for the vehicle range. Cost is $35 each per rental. Children aged between six months and four years (8-18kg) must travel in an approved Toddler Seat (forward facing child restraint with an in-built harness). An anchor point is required for these seats. Toddler Seats cannot be fitted to the front passenger seat of any of our vehicles. Child Seat
Children aged between four and seven years (14-26kg) must travel in an approved Child Seat (booster seat fastened with a standard diagonal sash seatbelt). Whilst it is legal (under certain circumstances) for a child in this category to sit in the front seat, not recommended for any child
under seven years (under 26kg) travels in the front passenger seat. * Children must be aged over 6 months to travel in our vehicles. Child Seat or bring your own
• Toddler and Child seats brought from overseas do not comply with the Australian and New Zealand
standards. It is illegal to use them in Australia.
• It is the responsibility of customers to fit the seats in the vehicle. Where can children sit?
• Front passenger seats and rear facing passenger seats in all vehicles are not fitted with anchor points and cannot accommodate children under four years in any case.
• If all appropriate rear seats are being used by children under seven years or the vehicle is not fitted with rear seats. Children aged between four and seven may travel in the front passenger seat, provided they use an approved child seat. Cruisin Motorhomes does not recommend any child under seven years travels in the front passenger seat.
Additional Products for Rental
Listed below are the additional products that are available for hire and purchase from our branches

Although the supplier runs late model vehicles; it may be the case that small repairs are required. Any repair up to $100 including GST needs no authorisation from Cruisin and all that is necessary for full reimbursement to You from Cruisin is a proper receipt for the amount of the repairs.
For repairs costing over $100, Cruisin will need to be informed and confirm the repair in advance.
Infringements and Administration Costs
The supplier reserves the right to charge the renter for any speeding, toll way or parking fines. In addition to these costs, the supplier reserves the right to charge for associated administration costs for processing the fines. An administration fee of $55 per fine will be applicable.
Change Of Vehicle
Should the vehicle booked be unavailable through unforeseen circumstances, the supplier reserve the right to substitute an alternative vehicle without prior notification and at no extra cost. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the renter to a refund.
Limit of Liability
In the event of no alternative vehicle being available to the renter, our liability is limited to a refund of the hire charge or in the case of mechanical failure (unless caused by the renter) the remainder of the hire period.
Change of Drop Off Destination
All renters must first obtain authorisation from the supplier before changing the drop off destination after the rental period has already commenced. Subject to change being approved, a minimum additional charge of $700 will apply.
Vehicles can only be requested by the vehicle category and not by make or model.
Should you choose to rent a lesser vehicle than previously booked within 24 days of pick up or during the rental then they will not be entitled to a refund.
Refusal to Supply
The supplier reserves the right to refuse any rental at our complete discretion.
No animals are permitted in vehicles, excluding registered guide dogs.
Smoking is not allowed in the vehicles. Heavy penalties apply to any vehicle found with a trace of smoke.
The Vehicle has third party insurance cover. It is likely that any other vehicle involved in an accident also has third party insurance cover. Depending on the circumstances of the accident, the renter may be entitled to claim for their personal injury against the third party insurance of the party responsible for the accident. The extent of such third party insurance varies in different States and Territories and the supplier strongly recommends that all passengers take out their own Personal Injury Travel Insurance. If the renter is responsible for the accident the Vehicle’s third party insurance should cover the renter for the liability except where the renter has committed a breach of the Vehicle’s third party insurance, e.g. drink driving.
The Vehicle is insured for damage to it or damage to the property of a third party. However the renter is responsible up to the amount of the applicable Liability for the cost of such damage to third party property, or to the rented Vehicle. The renter is also responsible for the cost of demurrage for the period the Vehicle is unavailable due to repairs. The Liability applies in respect of each claim, not per rental. The Liability is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident is reported to the supplier, not at the completion of the rental Period. The supplier reserves the right to charge the renter for any vehicle damage including Third Party property damage not reported on return of the vehicle.
Crusin motorhomes rental charge includes a Standard Liability of $5000. A security deposit of $5000 will be collected at the time of entering into the Rental Contract. Payment of this security deposit is only accepted by credit card. The $5000 will be debited to the credit card account. An administration fee equal to the merchant surcharge applies.
The Standard Liability can be reduced by purchasing the following Reduction Options:
Liability Reduction Option
Zero Liability applies and you will not have to pay a security bond of $5,000. This Option can be purchased
by paying a fee of $45 per day. The maximum amount payable for this option is $2,250 (50 days rental).
Maximum Cover Package
This is an all-inclusive package. A Zero Liability applies and you will not have to pay a security bond of $5,000. Includes optional extras such as GPS, pre-purchase LPG, outdoor table & chairs (chairs per person), and toddler or child seat (if required). This Option can be purchased by paying to Cruisin’ Motorhomes $55 per day. The maximum amount payable for this option is $2,750 (50 days rental).
For security purposes, only a credit card can be used to provide a vehicle security deposit. The credit card holder must be present and able to sign for the deposit upon vehicle collection. The credit card holder is jointly and severally liable for any damage to the rental vehicle.
The security deposit is fully refundable when the vehicle is returned to the correct location on time, with a full fuel tank, toilet and gray water tanks emptied and all other terms of the Rental Contract have been complied with. If there is damage to the vehicle on its return, the security deposit will be used to cover the cost of such damage up to the amount of the relevant liability. However, if the terms of the Rental Contract are breached and the security deposit is insufficient to cover the damage, then any extra cost will be charged. Refunds by credit card including bond refunds can take up to 14 working days and the time can vary depending on the Financial Institutions involved. Refund of the security bond is not a waiver of the Customer’s liability under the Rental Agreement, Cruisin retains the right to recover monies for Damage notwithstanding the return or refund of the security bond.
Windscreen and Tyre Cover
This is an additional cover package. A $90 once off fee applies prior to or on pick up of the vehicle and covers the renter for any accidental damage to the windscreen and tyres. This is an additional cover and can be purchased with standard liability or any reduction option. Windscreen refers to all glass on the vehicle.
Return of the Vehicle
The customer acknowledges having received the vehicle in a clean condition, with a full fuel tank and a full bottle of gas. The customer will return the vehicle in a clean condition with a full fuel tank. Penalties will apply to vehicles where these requirements are not met.
At all times the renter is responsible for:
- Damage caused where the terms of Rental Contract have been breached.
- Damage caused by negligence.
- Damage caused to the Vehicle in any way by part or total water submersion or salt water.
- Damage caused due to a single vehicle roll over.
- Damage caused to the Vehicle by the renter’s wilful conduct.
- Damage caused to the Vehicle when using the Vehicle in contravention of any legislation or regulation controlling vehicular traffic.
- Damage or loss caused to any personal belongings.
- Damage caused due to use of incorrect or contaminated fuel.
- Damage to the awning.
- Damage to the slide-out room.
- Damages to windscreen – includes all glass windows (unless purchased Windscreen and Tyre Cover)
- Damage to the overhead or underbody of the Vehicle
- Damage to the tyres (unless purchased Windscreen and Tyre Cover)
- Damage caused to the vehicle due to collision with an animal.

Rates and Conditions quoted in our brochures and/or documentation are subject to change without notice. Use of the vehicle
The Customer agrees that, during theRental Period, the Customer will not allow the Vehicle to be:(a) driven otherwise than in a prudent and cautious manner. A single Vehicle rollover is considered a breach of this condition and the Customer will be responsible for the first AU$5000.00 of the cost of damage regardless of fault. The AU$5000.00 is debited from theCustomer’s credit card immediately upon notification of accident to Go Cheap Campervans. A single Vehicle rollover may include, but is not limited to, a Vehicle that has rolled, tipped or fallen over and this has caused damage to the side and/or roof area of the Vehicle; driven by a person under the influence of alcohol or drugs or with a blood alcohol level in excess of that permitted by law; left with the ignition key in the Vehicle while it is unoccupied; damaged by:submersion in water contact with salt water creek or river crossing driving through flooded areas beach driving used for any illegal purpose or in any race, rally or contest; used to tow any vehicle or trailer; used to carry passengers or property for hire or reward; used to carry more persons than is permittedby any relevant authority or detailed in the Vehicle manual or on the Vehicle or specified in this Agreement; used to carry volatile liquids, gases, explosives or other corrosive or inflammable material; and vehicles are not to be used for the purpose of transporting and haulage of goods other than what might be reasonably expected of a leisure rental.
Road restrictions apply as follows: 2WD vehicles must not be used on any unsealed road (being a road not sealed with a hard material such as tar, bitumen or concrete). Off road conditions include, but are not limited to fire trails, beaches, sand, tracks,etc. Terms of booking on this website
The rates on this website are often heavily discounted. This is due to our negotiated rates and bulk buying power. On very rare occasions, a rate may be displayed incorrectly due to our, or a vehicle supplier's error. In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. We make every effort to keep information on our site up to date, but we cannot guarantee this website is free of errors or omissions and retain the right to update or change the information published at any time.
To the extent permitted by law we/the owners of this website will not be liable to you or to any third party (whether in contract, tort, or otherwise) for any direct, indirect or consequential loss or damage (including but not limited to any accident, injury, delay or loss of enjoyment) arising out of your reliance upon information contained on this website, including but not limited to your use (or inability to use) any products or services described or procured through this website.
When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier’s rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.
While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. If you encounter issues with the vehicle whilst on hire, you MUST report these issues directly to the relevant supplier at the earliest possible time. This will allow the supplier to remedy any issues and minimise any inconvenience to you. If you fail to report any vehicle issues during your rental, it is likely that compensation will not be offered. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.
Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice. The deposit required to secure your vehicle (as shown on the secure booking page) will only be processed on your credit card when your booking is confirmed. Please note that a 1.95% credit card or debit card surcharge will be added when your payment is processed.
A booking is confirmed when you have been emailed a confirmation voucher and at this stage the deposit is processed on your card and becomes non-refundable and any cancellation fees stated in the supplier's terms apply. Upon receipt of your confirmation, please check your details carefully and notify us immediately if there are any incorrect details, as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date.
If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.
Please note that some suppliers treat an amendment as a new booking and apply the rate current at the time the amendment is made to recalculate the entire booking amount (not just the days changed). If the rental period is increased, an additional deposit may be required. If the rental period is shortened which results in a reduction of the rental charges, the deposit amount will remain unchanged, and the difference between the original and revised deposit is forfeited (it cannot be used towards remaining rental charges). To request a change to a confirmed booking, please use the alterations request link on your confirmation. Any alterations are subject to availability and the approval of the supplier. In addition to the alteration policy of the supplier stated in their terms, the following charges will apply:
Motorhome rental alterations (all charges stated in local currency): 25.00
The alteration fee will not be charged if your alteration request is not possible.
Vehicle Capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
